Explain the relationship of the proposed used to the Comprehensive Plan.:

In order for McCall to continue to attract workers and businesses to the area we need licensed childcare providers. The childcare center also serves as an early learning center to prepare children for kindergarten.

Explain how the application meets the general and specific objects of Title 3.:

We are in an existing building and will not be changing the environment. This will be a service provided to the public that promotes the safety of children and the welfare of their families.

How is the proposed use harmonious with the character of the existing neighborhood?:

We are located inside a large building and will not affect the character of the neighborhood.

How is the proposed use harmonious with the appearance of the existing neighborhood?:

We are located inside a large building and will not affect the appearance of the neighborhood.

How will the proposed use NOT be detrimental to the general welfare, health, and safety of the neighborhood?:

The majority of the time the children will be indoors in the center/classroom. When they venture outside they will always be under close adult supervision.

What public services and facilities will serve the proposed use? Police? School? Streets? Fire? Water? Sewer? Other?:

The center will use slightly more water and sewer than previous tenants of the same office. We do not foresee any need for police or firemen or other public service personnel. We will utilize the McCall Public Library on occasion for books and story times.

How will the proposed use NOT cause unreasonable traffic, noise, glare, and other forms of pollution?:

We will not have any outside lights or signs. We will have a reasonable amount of traffic during drop-off and pick-up times, but not continuously throughout the day.

How will the proposed use NOT adversely affect the pedestrian environment?:

The majority of the time the children will be indoors in the center/classroom. When they venture outside they will always be under close adult supervision.

How will the proposed use NOT be a detriment to traffic on surrounding streets?:

We have an established parking lot for drop-off and pick-up, so there will not be any street parking needed.

We are located inside a large building and will not affect any of the above mentioned in a detrimental way.

Explain how the proposed use will NOT have a negative economic impact on the surrounding neighborhood or community?:

We actually believe that we will have a positive impact on local businesses because employees of downtown businesses will be able to use our childcare.

What is the relationship of the proposed use to the surrounding properties?:
